I too was having many problems with updating the firmware but finally got it to work. ***With any firmware or bios flashing, do this at your own risk*** I'm not sure if this firmware is to address the specific issue since it says is "Link Stability Improvements" so YMMV its working at least for me on my Z490i Aorus Ultra. Prior to this I was using 1.0.0.9 with no issues but was having issues with 1.0.1.4 when I first got the board. Previous firmware symptoms were intermittent disconnected on boot and disconnected after sleep. I tested rebooting multiple times as well as putting the computer to sleep and resume. EXE file and right click run as administrator and it should come up as 1.0.1.4.
